Greens leader Larissa Water stepped down this week due to ill health, and David Shoebridge has been selected as the next party leader — though some Greens MPs were disappointed in both the outcome and process. 

Meanwhile, a flight to Israel was hijacked and is being investigated as a terrorism attempt; RBA’s interest rate hikes as well as the credit-card surcharge ban have set off seemingly endless takes and coverage about the health of our economy, and NSW approved a massive new coal mine.
